Why travel abroad when we have so much to see and do in our own backyard! Become a tourist in your local area, all you need are a few ideas to inspire you. That’s where I come in, as well as your sensible shoes of course. The options are endless; culinary tours and cooking classes might spice up your life. Up The Garden Path
This time of year the weather is perfect for enjoying the great outdoors, so why not take advantage, breathe in some fresh air and smell the roses or the Eucalypts at your local Botanic Gardens.

Market Day
I just love going to the markets. I just stroll around, taking in all the different sights, sounds and smells. There are so many unique and interesting markets to explore, selling everything from fresh produce to handmade arts and crafts and vintage furniture. Step Back In Time
Well I think I have saved the best till last! For a nostalgic day out, step back in time and visit an old fashioned cinema like the Astor in St Kilda, built in 1936 with stunning Art Deco charm, screening old movies classics and select new feature films. Melbourne is not only the only place where you will find a beautiful old theatre. All throughout Australia you can discover many more like the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace in Cremone and the Golden Age Cinema and Bar in Surry Hills. Palace cinemas are based in Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, Byron Bay, Sydney and Melbourne and feature Vintage classics. www.palacecinemas.com.au. So look up a local Old fashioned cinema near you and step back in time.
