Deborah’s Style
My personal style aesthetic could be described as minimal with a nod to alternate styling. I have a wardrobe full of neutrals, and I love to experiment with texture and silhouette which is a great way to add interest to a neutral outfit.  I endeavour to dress for my real life… with a touch of drama.

We were inspired by her style and think she would love the below, a classic wardrobe outfit for the Winter!
We choose a stripe monochrome poncho which is an ideal pick for layering throughout this season, teamed with an embroidered cashmilon jumper for extra warmth.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of chatting to our lovely store ladies, you’d know that they have a wealth of knowledge not just for fashion but for cooking too. This week Catherine and Sharon share their crowd pleaser recipes.

SAUSAGE ROLLS

Cat’s sausage rolls make for a delectable treat perfect for the grandkids. They’re warm, filling and are so yummy! We’re certain that you won’t be able to stop at just one. It’s also a great recipe to get the kids stuck into this school holidays.











Ingredients:

• 5 slices of white bread
• 1.5 cups warm water
• 2 Tbs Italian herbs & spices
• 500g sausage mince
• 5 sheets puff pastry (defrosted)
• Spray oil

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
2. Put bread and water in a bowl and allow bread to get mushy (use more water if needed)
3. Add Italian herbs and spices and sausage mince. Squish it all together with your hands until mixture is well combined.
4. Cut pastry sheets in half.
5. Spoon your sausage mix onto one of the half sheets of pastry and spread the mixture evenly along the length of the pastry.
6. Roll it up and cut with a knife to the desired size.
7. Repeat the process until your out of sausage mix and pastry.
8. Line a oven proof tin with glad bake and put sausage rolls in the tin.
9. Spray the tops of sausage rolls with oil.
10. Cook for 1 hour or until golden brown.

BEEF TATTY HASH

Sharon’s Beef Tatty goes up there as one of our favourite comfort meals. It’s warm, hearty, and makes those cold evenings more bearable. It’s a great dish to make in bulk because you easily reinvent your leftovers. We’ve had great success turning it into a lunch time pasta dish. Simply cook the pasta and mix in the left overs.











Ingredients:

• Diced Beef
• 1 cup Carrots
• 1 cup Leek
• 1 Onion
• 2 Potatoes
• Beef Stock
• Salt
• Pepper
• Chilli
• Beef Casserole stock
• Crusty Bread
• Brown Sauce

Method:

1. Chop onions and stir round in a large pan for a minute or so.
2. Add all vegetables, water and stock.
3. Cook for 10 mins then add beef and casserole stock.
4. Mix round. Cook in slower cookers for 4 hours.
5. Add a good squirt of brown sauce.
6. Eat as it is or with some nice crusty bread.

The Mother’s Day Classic

The Mother’s Day Classic is held annually to help raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research. A walk and run held on Mother’s Day, the event is fun, active and allows the participants to remember and support the special women and men that have been touched by breast cancer. Run or walk with family and friends and make it fun with fancy dress outfits, all accessorised with pink! It is a day of celebration for survivors and one of hope for those affected. Gather family and friends together and go for the walk or run and then take your mum out for a nice brunch afterwards and make a lovely morning of it. We adore this time of year because it’s full of celebrations, family fun, and lots of delicious treats.
If you are hosting a family gathering or taking a plate to one, there’s no need to hop down the bunny hole if you are stuck for a special treat to share. We’ve been busy little bunnies baking, creating, and tasting special recipes to share with you. We hope you enjoy!


The perfect combination of sweet and savoury! Unlike the other little birdies, we’ll only need a few minutes to make our nest… and eat it!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter flavoured vegetable shortening
- 2 cups pretzel sticks, broken into bite-size pieces
- 30 candy-coated milk chocolate mini eggs

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Line your baking tray with baking paper.
2. On a low heat, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable shortening. Stir often.
3. Pour the melted chocolate over the pretzels and gently stir through until pretzels are covered.
4. Form mixture into "nests" and carefully lay on tray. Refrigerator for 10 minutes.
5. Top each nest with mini chocolate eggs


How do you make a hot cross bun taste even better? You turn it into a hot cross pudding!

INGREDIENTS
- 6 hot cross buns
- 25g butter
- 75g chocolate chips
- 1 large eggs
- 250ml milk
- 1tbsp caster sugar

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
2. Line baking dish with baking paper.
3. In a bowl, mix the milk and sugar. Beat the egg in and stir.
4. Cut buns in half and butter each side. Place only the bases in dish.
5. Pour half of the mixture in and scatter chocolate chips.
6. Return top half of buns to their bases. Scatter more chocolate chips then pour the remaining mixture on buns.
7. Bake for 30-35 minutes
